Ethereum scaling resolution Optimism will launch its mainnet this coming month after asserting a significant funding from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) that closed in November.

Optimism is amongst a small cohort of companies seeking to enhance Ethereum’s famously choked throughput. The startup was initially planning on rolling out a testnet in March, though decentralized finance (DeFi) change Synthetix already started on-boarding to the tech stack in January.
“On account of with the ability to rent this sort of expertise, we might be launching arbitrary contract deployment on mainnet in March as an alternative of public testnet,” Optimism stated in weblog post Wednesday. The startup added seven new members to the group as properly, together with earlier expertise from Coinbase, Handshake and Casa.
